Getting a dj to play your record is not rocket science,its all on how you approach the dj.
Establish a relationship, don't just come out and say,"Hey will you put my record on your mixtapes".Most djs get tons of music sent to them everyday.So how do you stand out!You develop a relationship. I know djs
that will support a record even if they don't like the record,just because they have a good relationship with that artist.
This ain't the dope game where you can get fast money.You have to put in time and give something. Just because you have a hot record doesn't guarantee djs will play your record. Most people naturally support things there a part of, so when you have a personal relationship with a person, they probably would prefer to see you win, instead of someone else, I'll tell you why, because when you win,they win!This music game is cut throat,but at the same time there's a lot of good people in the music game as well So be humble next time you approach a dj, and don't just think me,me,me. Think what can I do for this person to show them I'm worthy of being helped ,how can I earn the privilege for them to think of me and my music when its time to rock a crowd or do a mixtape,mixshow etc.Think humble and everything will fall in place!
